A Photographer’s Eye for Finnmark
As a nature photographer, Morten Gåsvand has spent years exploring Finnmark in search of its most striking landscapes, finest light and most memorable moments. Most of the images featured on this website are taken by him, shaped by a lifelong passion for open spaces, untouched nature, wildlife and the special atmosphere that defines the far north.
The Places Behind the Images
Many of the places shown in these photographs are the very same places Morten has chosen to share with his guests. They are locations he knows well through years behind the camera, and places he believes offer some of the most beautiful and authentic experiences in Finnmark. In this way, the journeys are not only inspired by the landscape, but by a photographer’s personal connection to it.
